My Favorite SaintsI'd like to share a few of my all time favorite saints.
Saint Lucy
Viva Santa Lucia! My mother would say this everytime she dropped something with a big noise. She told me it was because as a little girl, living in the Italian section of Chicago, they would celebrate the feast days of many saints. At the feasts, they would set off firecrackers and everyone would yell the salute to the saint. this was back in the 20s and 30s, I dont know if they still do it. I really love hearing the stories though! But anyway, how can you NOT love a saint with their eyes on a plate?
Saint Jude
I have a special fondness for Saint Jude. For four years, my DH and I tried to have a baby, I miscarried five times. I made a novena to Saint Jude and the next time I became pregnant, I had my daughter G. Then three years later I got another gift, my daughter S :)
Saint Michael
Saint Michael is an absolutaly fabulous, all around great saint! A protector and defender; our champion against the snares of evil and negative entities. Who couldn't use an ally like that? :)
